Q- Are there any additional fees above and beyond the rental rate?
A- The only additional fee to the rental rate quoted is taxes, a refundable security/damage deposit and a $50 processing fee. Cleaning fees are already included in our rental price. The security/damage deposit is returned within 14 days of your departure pending inspection of the property.
Q- Where are the nearest beaches?
A- Sombrero Beach is located at MM 50, Coco Plum Beach is located at MM 54.5 and Curry Hammock State Park is located at MM 56. All are within a few minutes of all of our rental properties.
Q- Are linens, cookware, dishes, etc. provided with the rental property?
A- Yes. Everything you'll need is available at your home-away-from-home.
Q- What is there to do in Marathon?
A- There is a vast array of outdoor activities, including snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, scuba-diving, swimming with dolphins, feeding giant cobia plus nationally-recognized parks and attractions. There is also an abundance of choices for dining, shopping and entertainment. Check out a few of the recommended links on our website.
Q- What time is check-in and check-out?
A- Check-in is 3 pm and check-out is 10 am. However, special arrangements can be made upon request.
Q- How much are taxes for the rental property?
A- Florida State Vacation Rental Property taxes are 12.5%.
Q- Can I bring/rent a boat?
A- Yes, all of our homes have adequate dockage for most medium-sized boats. There are many reputable boat rental operations within Marathon and we are happy to recommend some upon request.
Q- What day do reservations usually begin and end?
A- Our reservations usually run from Saturday to Saturday. This is a common policy for most vacation rentals in the Florida Keys. However, special arrangements can be made upon request if possible.
Q- What mile markers are Marathon and most of the rental properties located?
A- Marathon is a cluster of islands spanning Duck Key to the East and the historic 7 Mile Bridge to the West. The majority of our properties are located between MM 54.5 and 47.
Q-.How much is needed to secure a reservation TODAY?
A - Depending on the size of the home and how far out your reservation is, all that is needed is a $500-$1,000 security deposit. |
